A man wanted for first degree murder in Cook County has been apprehended in DeKalb.
Officials with the Cook County Sheriff's Department were looking for Randy Doby in DeKalb during the early morning hours of July 10, but were unable to locate him. The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office was notified of the warrant against Doby and subsequently developed information on Doby's possible location.
The sheriff's office worked with the DeKalb Police Department and found Doby in the 1000 block of West Ridge around 2:10 p.m. that day. He was taken into custody without incident and is now awaiting transport back to Cook County.
