16-year-old charged with first degree murder in 6th St. shooting

A 16-year-old Rockford teen has been charged with First Degree Murder in the June 4 murder of 20-year-old Marcelles Gray.

Michael Blue was arrested on July 6 at a home in the 300 block of North Henrietta Avenue. Gray was shot in the 1300 block of South 6th Street just before 9:00 p.m. on June 4. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Blue has been charged as an adult in the case, but Rockford Police are not officially releasing a photo of him.
