Update: 2 dead, 2 injured in quadruple Rockford shooting

Rockford investigators release ages of the victims in Tuesday night's shooting.

Around 8:20 p.m., RPD responded to the 600 block of Woodlawn Avenue for shots fired.  When officers arrived at the scene, four gunshot victims were located.  Rockford Fire Department personnel transported three of the four victims to local hospitals for treatment.  At the hospitals, two of the gunshot victims died as a result of their injuries.  The victims who died are males ages 17 and 33.  The other victim transported to the hospital is a male, 38 years of age.  He was being treated for gunshot wounds to the arm and leg.  The victim that remained at the scene suffered from a gunshot graze wound.  The names of the victims are not being released until families are notified.

Rockford Police say two people are dead and two others are injured after a quadruple shooting. It happened around 8:30 this evening near Woodlawn Ave. and Locust St.

Police tell 13News the suspect is a black male in his teens. If you have any information that will help Rockford Police in this murder investigation, please call (815)987-5824.

Police are still on the scene of the shooting, parts of the area are blocked off.
