A group of UFOs gathered at the Chicago Rockford International Airport on Tuesday, but it's not what you may be thinking.
The Illinois Area United Flying Octogenarians (UFOs) held a meeting at the airport during which members heard a presentation on the airport's history and individual members shared stories of their flying experiences.
The club began in 1982 and consists of pilots who have flown an aircraft as a pilot in command on or after their 80th birthday. The aircraft could be a plane, glider, helicopter, balloon, or other device.
Over 1,300 men and women in 49 states, Canada, Argentina, Australia, France, England, and the Virgin Islands are members.
