ROCKFORD (WREX) -

A 16 year old was arrested in the June shooting death of a Rockford man.

The teen was arrested in the 300 block of Henrietta Avenue without incident at 2am Saturday morning

Rockford Police say they are investigating if this shooting is connected to another that occurred on Henrietta Avenue on July 4th.

Two weeks ago a million dollar arrest warrant was put out for the teen. A spokesman for the police department tells 13 News they expect the juvenile to be charged as an adult.

20 year old Marcellus Gray was shot around 9pm Tuesday June 4th in the 1300 block of South 6th Street in Rockford. He was taken to a hospital and died from his injuries.
