A DeKalb tattoo artist has a chance at winning $100,000 on a reality show
The work of Chris May, owner of Proton Tattoo, will soon be seen on Spike Network's "Ink Master". He's one of 16 contestants on the reality TV show. The competition was shot in New Jersey where May took part in several challengers. The first challenge was tattooing in a prison cell with one needle.
"I was like, 'Anybody can do this show, it looks really easy.' Until you get there and the reality comes crashing in on you. It actually is really hard, it's really tough," said May.
May has been tattooing for 16 years. The show airs Tuesday, July 16.
