Jefferson rising junior Antoine Pittman helped the J-Hawks win a regional title last year. Pittman was a sophomore on that team, but is now looked to as a leader on this year's team. He helped his team to a win over Byron in the Harlem Summer Basketball League Monday night.
"We're missing key components that we had last year," Pittman said. "But we have other guys stepping up and filling in those spots."
Pittman is ranked as one of the top 25 players in his class in the state of Illinois according to www.chicagohoops.com.
"My hard work is paying off," Pittman said about the ranking.
His J-Hawks won the Harlem Summer League last year. He hopes to repeat that accomplishment in two weeks.
