Wheel-A-Thon gives RAMP supporters a new way to raise awareness

An area organization takes a new spin on a walk-a-thon benefiting Rockford RAMP.

Rather than walking through Riverview Park, participants could ride in a wheelchair for the 25th annual RAMP Wheel-A-Thon.   You could wheel for your community, a friend or family member.

RAMP's goal is to promote an accessible society that allows and expects full participation by people with disabilities.

The group is near it's goal of $50,000.  As of Saturday it had over $40,000 in funds raised, all benefiting Rockford RAMP.
