Quinn signs pay cut bill for Illinois General Assembly members

Some of those speaking today will receive a pay cut.   Illinois Governor Pat Quinn signed a bill Saturday requiring every General Assembly member to take one unpaid furlough day per month during the fiscal year 2014.

That starts July 1st.

Illinois lawmakers earn a base salary of around $68,000.   They're among the nation's highest-paid state legislators.
