UPDATED: Autopsy complete on man killed in motorcycle crash

The autopsy on 25-year-old George E. Foster III has been completed. The Winnebago County Coroner's Office says Foster died of severe head, chest, and abdominal injuries.

Toxicological tests will be available in about two weeks.


Rockford Police say one person is dead after a crash on Perryville Road near Weaver Road, just south of Riverside Boulevard.

Police responded just before 9:30 p.m. Once there, they learned a minivan turning west from Perryville onto Weaver hit a motorcycle going south on Perryville.

The driver of the motorcycle, 25-year-old George E. Foster III of Machesney Park, was pronounced dead at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center around 9:45 p.m. The driver of the van, Bradley Carlson of Rockford, was charged with DUI.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation and the autopsy is pending.
