According to GasBuddy.com, the Great Lakes region could see some relief from the recent spike in gas prices.
ExxonMobil's Joliet refinery is back online, bringing an increase in gasoline production. The Energy Information Administration said the amount of gasoline supply in the region has also increased, which may be due to motorists curbing their consumption because of high prices.
GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan said the region could see some much needed relief in prices at the pump in the days ahead, with prices possibly falling 15 to 30 cents per gallon.
