Rockford Park District asks for help in fighting crime

The Rockford Park District Police Department is asking the public to keep an eye out so they can better fight crime in area parks.

The department's Eagle Eye Park Watch program is similar to a neighborhood watch system, in which police are asking park-goers to report any suspicious activity, vandalism, safety hazards, littering or dumping, fires, and more. If it is an emergency, call 911, but if not, call 815-966-2900 to file a report.

To schedule a Park Watch presentation for your school or neighborhood group, call Lisa Leombruni at 815-289-0047.
