April was the Rockford International Airport's 10th busiest month of all time, with a count of 21,743 passengers.
This is slightly below March's record breaking passenger numbers of nearly 35,000 passengers.
"With an early Easter this year, holiday travelers flew in March which meant 11 percent fewer available seats in April. Despite that challenge, we were able to post a top-ten month all-time high at RFD." said RFD Director Mike Dunn. "RFD's passenger numbers show an ability to fill the available seats every month and give proof to airlines that we need more capacity."
Year-to-Date the airport has had 92,337 passengers fly in and out. Overall flights year-to-date have flown 89 percent full.
