LincolnMiddle School receives $22,000 science grant

Posted:

For the second year, Rockford's Lincoln Middle School has been awarded a grant of $22,000. This money was given by the Crull Family Trust Scholarship for Forensics and the Sciences Fund of the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois.

The first year's grant helped get the school's lab fully operational for the 2012-2013 school year. This grant will bring in additional technology including scientific calculators and iPads.

The grant allows students to create a science laboratory and work in cooperative learning groups. The goal is hands-on investigation using proper safety equipment and scientific methods.
