I-Cash kiosk to help Winnebago County residents find lost money

Posted:
ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford's office has opened an I-Cash kiosk at the Winnebago County Administration Building.

The kiosk allows local residents to search their names to see if they have money or property in the Unclaimed Property Division. The system has over $1.5 billion in cash, plus items from safe deposit boxes that have not been active for at least five years.

The kiosk is in the lobby of the Winnebago County Administration Building, 400 Elm Street, in Rockford. It will be there until June 14.
