4 arrested in connection to Corbin St. shooting


Rockford Police arrest four people, including two teens connected with a shooting late last month.

The shooting happened on April 28th on the 1200 block of Corbin Street.  One girl was sent to the hospital.

Investigators say 17-year-old Malik Smith and a 16-year-old juvenile from Rockford face charges for shooting the gun.

27-year-old Nancy Moctezuma, also from Rockford, faces obstruction of justice charges.

Police say Moctezuma had a gun when they arrested her.  

Edwin Rivas was also arrested in connection to the shooting. He faces charges for an unlawful use of a weapon by a gang member.
