Police union contract passes Loves Park City Council

A Loves Park police union contract passes not even a month after the last one expired.

City council members approved the 3-year contract with a vote 9 to 0.    The old contract expired April 30th.  In the first year, officers get a 2% raise.  The following years, it's 3%.  This includes sergeant positions down to patrol officers, roughly 30 members of the bargaining unit. The police chief and deputy chief are not included in the contract.
