Boy hit by train near Milledgeville


Just after 7:15 Friday night, Milledgeville Police and Fire responded to the east edge of Milledgeville for a train vs. pedestrian accident.

15-year-old Chance Casares and two other juveniles were walking on the BN & SF railroad bridge over the Elkhorn Creek when Casares was hit by a train.  He was transported to a Rockford hospital. 

No word on the extent of his injuries.
