The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with LB Jonathan Bostic on a four-year contract today.
The 6-1, 245-pounder was selected by the Bears in the second round (50th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. He started 32 of 51 games at middle linebacker in four seasons (2009-12) at Florida, recording 237 tackles, eight sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss and five interceptions. The Wellington, Fla. native added seven quarterback pressures, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and seven pass break-ups.
Bostic is the fifth of six 2013 Bears draft picks to agree to terms with the team after the team signed LB Khaseem Greene (fourth round, 117th overall), T Jordan Mills (fifth round, 163rd overall), DE Cornelius Washington (sixth round, 188th overall) and WR Marquess Wilson (seventh round, 236th overall) last week.
