DeKalb man nominated for appointment to rank of vice admiral

A DeKalb man has been nominated by President Barack Obama for appointment to the rank of vice admiral.

Rear Admiral Paul A. Grosklags was also nominated for assignment as principal military deputy assistant secretary of the Navy at the Pentagon. He currently serves as program executive officer, air anti-submarine warfare, Assault and Special Mission Programs, in Maryland.

Grosklags graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1982 and received a Master of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. He graduated from the United States Navy Test Pilot School in 1999.
