Man convicted of 2009 Rockford armed robbery


A man is convicted of attacking a senior citizen and ripping him off.  It happened at Sims Jewelry Store back in March of 2009.

Curtis Sims and his brother Kenneth Sims were working at their business when Kenneth Turner came in.  Turner hit Curtis Sims in the head with a gun, knocking him unconscious, and took cash.  Turner was found guilty of armed robbery and aggravated battery of a senior citizen. 

Turner will be sentenced in July.
