Dixon's former comptroller has a new home at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in downtown Chicago.

In February, Rita Crundwell was sentenced to almost 20 years in prison for stealing over $53 million from the City of Dixon between 1990 and 2012. She was taken into custody at that time, but was moved to the Chicago prison on Thursday, May 2.

The Metropolitan Correctional Center is usually an interim holding facility and Crundwell will be assigned to a permanent prison later on.

Her release date is listed as March 5, 2030 on the website for the Bureau of Prisons.
