Hononegah's girls defended their NIC-10 track championship, beating Harlem by 21 points. The Lady Indians finished with 158 points to win it. Freeport finished 3rd.
Courtney Clayton led the way for Hononegah. The future Vanderbilt Commodore won the 200, 400, 800, and 3200-meter runs.
Patrice Jones took home the 100-meter conference title, and also anchored the 4x200-meter relay that helped put Hononegah ahead for good.
Hononegah also got some good performances from its field competitors. Ashley Cornford and Amy Dal Santo finished 1st and 2nd in the long jump. Mallory Holland won the triple jump, and Maysea Miller came out of nowhere to win the pole vault.
Logan Tillmon of East won the 100 and 300-meter hurdles a day after winning the high jump.
Belvidere North's Kim Seger took home the 1600-meter title.
