Suspect in DeMarcus Hanson murder case free on bond

The last of three men, behind bars for the murder of a young boy, is released from the Winnebago County Jail.

Tyjuan Anderson posted bond Tuesday.  Anderson, Anthony Ross and Lumont Johnson were convicted of killing DeMarcus Hanson back in 2002.  The 8-year-old has hit by a bullet, while he slept at his grandmother's home on Chestnut Street in Rockford.

Police think Hanson's uncle was the intended target in the shooting.  All three men claimed they didn't do it from the beginning and in March a Winnebago County Judge threw out the conviction. Prosecutors have appealed, but it could be years before an appellate court makes its decision.

Anderson, Ross and Johnson are all free on bond right now.
