Lewis Lemon students celebrate Career Awareness Day

Students at Lewis Lemon Elementary heard from presenters in a variety of professions Friday and also made résumés of their own.

Guest speakers included a hair stylist, pilot, minister, newspaper reporter, architect, and cartoonist, amongst others. The goal of the day was to introduce students to a variety of career options they may not normally think of.

"I think our kids need to be exposed, that there's a variety of opportunities that are out there for them, and one or two options that they see in the community may not be all that they understand or know about," Lewis Lemon Principal Suzette Payne said.

Incoming Superintendent Dr. Ehren Jarrett also participated.
