Today's the kickoff for our 10K steps challenge. I'm a pretty active guy and currently workout 4-5 days a week. However, I've learned since wearing this pedometer I don't cover nearly as much ground as I thought I did. Before running and exercise I cover roughly 4,000-5,000 steps in a day. Or about half of what the challenge is asking us to complete. For me the 10K steps challenge will require a serious commitment to cardio.
Another thing I learned about myself in preparing for this challenge: I've put on some pounds since joining the morning show. I was 200lbs working nights and have bulked up to 200 currently.
When I worked night side I worked out almost 6 days a week and got plenty of sleep. On the morning show it's hard just getting out of bed some days. Needless to say getting enough sleep, eating better, and working out will be the main focus of my journey to 10K steps.
