Machesney Park man robbed through Craigslist ad

A Machesney Park man who advertised a computer on Craigslist was robbed on Monday, April 22.

Around 2:15 p.m., two men went to the man's residence to look at the computer and robbed the seller at gunpoint and battered him. After an investigation, Winnebago County Sheriff's Detectives charged 23-year-old Quinton L. Horton with armed robbery.

At about 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, detectives went to a residence in the 1800 block of South Alpine Road to find Horton. He was seen inside the residence, but refused to open the door for officers. Officers then forced the door open and arrested Horton.
