ROCKFORD (WREX) -

The Northwestern Illinois Building and Construction Trades Council is hosting its fourth annual career expo this week.

During the expo, each trade will explain their craft and how to receive an apprenticeship. Thanks to a partnership with District 205, about 600 eighth graders will be bused to expo to learn more about potential career opportunities.

The expo began on April 23 and runs through the 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. All are welcome, but if you would like to schedule a time for a group to visit, call Brad Long at 815-263-2865. The expo is being held at the Carpenter Training Center, 1117 Tebala Boulevard in Rockford.
