Are you ready to get more active? If so, join the 13 News Today morning team starting April 25th, as we kickoff our 10,000 Steps Challenge. The challenge is a community-driven event to help you live a more active lifestyle.
In partnership with Swedish American Medical Group, the 13 News Today team of Aaron Wright, Hannah Welker and Greg Bobos will join viewers in the challenge of taking at least 10,000 steps a day.
Why 10,000 steps? On average, 10,000 steps equates to about five miles. While you may think you are pretty active, you may be surprised at just how difficult it can be to achieve that goal.
To help you get there, we will be giving away 1,000 FREE pedometers at a kickoff event on Thursday, April 25th at CherryVale Mall from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. But make sure you get there early, as these will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis. This will be a four-week challenge, starting on Thursday, April 25th and ending on Wednesday, May 22nd.
The more people who get involved in the challenge and help us raise awareness about the importance of living a more active lifestyle, the better! We are looking forward to a great month with more and more steps taken every day!
Good luck and we'll see you on Thursday, April 25th!
