Rockford Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the intersection of Kishwaukee and Catlin early Friday morning.
Around 3:45 a.m., police say a man was in his car when he stopped at the red light at Kishwaukee and Catlin. His car was then rear-ended by another vehicle. When the victim got out of his car to talk to the person in the other vehicle, that person produced a gun and demanded money.
Officers say the victim did not have any money and the suspect fled in his car. He is described as wearing a dark hoodie and jeans and driving a silver Chrysler. No one was injured.
