The Winnebago County Emergency Services Department is reporting some railroad tracks have washed-out in Machesney Park.
The sheriff's department has been notified and a deputy was on scene Thursday evening. The railroad company was also called to divert trains away.
In 2009 heavy rains caused tracks to wash out on Mulford Road, leading to a train derailment and explosion that killed one person.
