Around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Harlem-Roscoe Fire responded to a semi crash on I-90 near mile marker five.
One semi rear-ended another, and hazardous cargo was leaking from one trailer. Hazmat teams from SERT and Rockford Fire were dispatched to the scene to contain the spill of hazardous cargo.
One of the drivers was trapped inside his truck, and had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was then taken to a local hospital via ambulance. The other driver was uninjured.
