Rockford students remember those lost at Sandy Hook

Students at Rockford's Washington Academy are using their creativity to remember those who lost their lives in December's shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary.

The students are taking part in an art project that consists of a collaboration of 26 canvases, each representing one of the shooting's 26 victims. The project will be displayed at Rockford College's Regents Hall later this month.

The project will then travel to Newtown, Connecticut, the location of Sandy Hook, on April 27.
