Rockford Aviators in need of host families

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Whether you are a baseball fan or not, the Rockford Aviators could use your help.

The team is in need of host families for players during the upcoming season. Several of the athletes on the team are from out of town and without a place to stay. Although host families get free season tickets, the players also benefit.

"They get some home-cooked meals, some of our host family moms are retired, so they get a lot of pampering," Rockford Aviators Host Family Coordinator Sally Hoesel said. "You know, they have a home to live in as opposed to a hotel or apartment where they have three and four guys to a place."

If you're interested in becoming a host family, you can contact Hoesel at 815-871-5245.
