Rick's Picks exhibit extended


Although it was set to leave the Burpee Museum of Natural History on April 10, Rick's Picks: A Lifelong Affair with Guitars and Music will now be there until April 14.

The exhibit features guitars, clothing, and other memorabilia collected by Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen. In addition to the extension, a special Cheap Trick Day will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1. Tickets will be $10 and several items like a specially designed Hamer guitar featuring Rick and Burpee's T. rex Jane will be raffled off. Raffle tickets are $1 and available at the museum.

The Burpee is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday through the exhibit's run. Admission is $15 per adult, $8 per adult on Fridays, and $8 per adult after 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The museum will be closed on March 31 for Easter.
