FHN lifts visitor restrictions

Flu season is winding down and FHN Memorial Hospital is lifting its visitor restrictions.

During the height of flu season, the hospital restricted visitors to help avoid the spread of the virus. However, those restrictions have been lifted.

Regular visiting restrictions include:

  • Hours are from 8a.m. to 8p.m. - Exceptions could apply in OB, Pediatrics, and the Women and Children's Unit, but nurses should be consulted first
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Persons with obvious signs of infection should not visit the hospital
  • Do not use patient bathrooms during the visit, use the public restrooms
  • Check with nursing staff before bringing food, personal items, or flowers
  • Be as quiet as possible
  • Visitors may be asked to step out during provider consultations or treatments to ensure patient privacy
  • If visitors are disruptive or inappropriate, they may be asked to leave
  • All visitors must check in at the visitor desk
