Early voting underway in Rockford

The April 9 consolidating election is right around the corner, but you don't have to wait until then to cast your vote.

Any voter in the City of Rockford who is registered with their current address and name can vote now at the Election Office, 301 South Sixth Street. The voter must show a government-issued photo identification, like a driver's license, state ID, or passport prior to voting.

If you vote early, you cannot go to the polls on Election Day to change your vote. Early voting ends on April 6.

You can find more information on early voting at www.voterockford.com.
