Fundraising goals set by Rockford Park District Foundation Board


The Rockford Park District Foundation sets new fundraising priorities.

While the list is long, it outlines the Foundation Board's direction for the next couple of years. The top fundraising projects are listed below:

  • Establishing Legacy Program Endowment - Campaign Goal: $500,000
  • Legacy Program - Campaign Goal: $25,000
  • Alpine Hills Adventure Park & Golf Center - Campaign Goal: $1,200,000
  • Reclaiming First Sports Facility Projects - Campaign Goal: $2,000,000
  • Washington Park Community Center Gym Improvements - Campaign Goal: $150,000
  • Lockwood Park Children's Farm Rebuild - Campaign Goal: $150,000
  • Sinnissippi Park Redevelopment, Playground, Paths & Overpass - Campaign Goal: $1,500,000

The long-range projects the board will eventually focus on are:

  • Sinnissippi Overpass & Connecting Path
  • Brown Park Playground Equipment Replacement
  • Alpine Pool Water Playground
  • Meadows of Spring Brook Park and Playground Development
  • Carlson Ice Arena - 2nd sheet of ice

The Rockford Park District Foundation started in 1979.  It helps the Park District by raising money for projects and raising awareness about its programs.
