Rockford teen arrested for residential burglary


A Rockford teen faces charges for a residential burglary in the 1600 block of Seventh Avenue.

Rockford Police responded to the home just after noon on Tuesday, March 26. Upon arrival, officer secured the home's exterior and the suspect jumped out of one of the home's windows. After escaping the home, police say the suspect tried to disarm an officer by grabbing their gun. He was then arrested without incident.

Seventeen-year-old Douglas J. Enoch has been charged with Residential Burglary and Attempting to Disarm an Officer.

Rockford Police have not officially released a photograph of Enoch at this time.
