2 Rockford homes hit by gunfire overnight

Rockford Police are investigating two overnight incidents of aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Both incidents occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, March 25. The first occurred in the 300 block of Buckbee Street. The home was occupied when multiple rounds were fired into a bedroom window. No one was injured and shell casings were found at the scene. There was no suspect information at the time of release.

The second incident occurred in the 600 block of Blake Street. That home was also occupied and several rounds were fired into the front door. No one was injured and there was no suspect information at the time of release.
