Boeing test flies 787 after battery fire problems

Boeing's 787 Dreamliner is flying again.

The aerospace company carried out a test flight on one of the planes to try out a new battery system. The entire fleet was grounded earlier this year after a battery on one plane started on fire and another plane's battery began to smoke.

The new system includes insulation around the battery's cells and a steel casing. Engineers will analyze data from the two-hour test flight to see if the redesign works.
