Literacy Council begins computer and job skills class

Rockford-area residents interested in learning more about basic computer skills are getting a helping hand from the Literacy Council.

The group began a Basic Computer Class on Monday, March 25. There is also a Job Skills Class to develop computer skills used in the workplace.

"We have a Basic Computer Course for people who don't have much knowledge at all, and then we have a job skills course which works on putting together resumes, being able to do job searches on the internet, applying for jobs, posting resumes, and hopefully finding a job," Literacy Council Computer Instructor Tim Reilly explained.

Classes are held every four weeks and are free of charge, but registration is required. For more information on upcoming classes, call 815-963-7323.
