Elgin man sentenced for selling drugs in Boone County

An Elgin man was sentenced to eight years in prison on March 22 for dealing drugs in Boone County.

Michael Bullard, 37, was sentenced on three counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance. According to the Boone County State's Attorney's Office, Bullard delivered a substance containing cocaine to a confidential informant three separate times between July and August of 2011.

The deliveries took place in the Belvidere Wal-Mart parking lot and amounted to 0.8 grams, 1.7 grams, and 2.4 grams.
