Discovery Center hosting spring break activities

Spring break is upon us and if your kids are getting a little restless around the house, the Discovery Center Museum has the perfect solution.

The museum is hosting Spring into Science programs Monday through Friday during the weeks of March 25-29 and April 1-5. During those weeks special art activities, live science demonstrations, and planetarium shows will be held to keep local little ones busy.

The daily schedule is:

  • Planetarium Show - 1:00 p.m.
  • Live Science Demonstration - 2:30 p.m. in the theater
  • Art Activities - 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

The Discovery Center also boasts 200 hands-on exhibits, a news studio, an art studio, and an outdoor wooden park.

Admission is $8 for children and adults. Kids one and under are free. The museum is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. seven days a week.

Spring into Science is partially funded by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council.
