Bone injuries are hard on children and parents but not being able to pay medical bills makes things worse.
The Rockford Tebala Shrine Center was working to make things easier with free screening for children with possible orthopedic conditions and spinal cord injuries.
Clowns were on hand to bring out smiles on children's faces. The Easter Bunny also made an early appearance to help kids learn about how to prevent burns and other injuries. Saturday's event is all part of the Shriners's mission to help young people.
