Search warrant leads to 2 drug arrests in Belvidere

BELVIDERE (WREX) -

Eighteen-year-old Max A. Cox and 25-year-old Gary L. Storez both face cannabis-related drug charges in Belvidere.

The two were arrested on Friday, March 22. Cox faces one count of unlawful delivery of cannabis and Storez faces charges of unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Cox is being held on no bond and Storez is being held on a $1,500 bond.

During a search warrant executed at a residence in the 400 block of Kishwaukee Street in Belvidere, police seized cannabis, pills, drug paraphernalia, drug packaging materials, an electronic scale, and cash.

The residence was condemned after the search.

The arrests are the result of a two-week investigation by the Belvidere Police Narcotic Unit.
