Dozens of Belvidere teachers losing their jobs

BELVIDERE (WREX) -

As the district looks to balance its budget, dozens of Belvidere teachers are losing their jobs.

In a closed session meeting, the school board decided to dismiss 16 teachers as well as another 28 full- and part-time temporary teachers.

Two probationary teachers and one administrator were also on the list.
