SwedishAmerican introduces iTriage smartphone app

A new smartphone app will allow SwedishAmerican patients to access information on medical symptoms and even check in prior to their arrival to the hospital.

"At SwedishAmerican Hospital, we recognize the importance of connecting with our patients when they have an immediate medical need," says Dr. John Underwood, Medical Director, Department of Emergency Medicine. "Launching the ER Check-In feature with iTriage offers a convenience to our patients and allows staff to prepare in advance for their visit."

The free app will allow users to do the following:

  • Search symptoms and conditions
  • Learn about possible causes and treatments
  • Get prescription refill and appointment reminders in their personal calendars
  • Access a database of every medical provider in the United States

The app is available for iPhones and Androids and can be accessed at www.iTriageHealth.com.
