The Dixon teacher's strike will continue into this week.
According to the Dixon Education Association, students will not return to school today, as negotiations and picketing continue. The Dixon Public Schools Board asked for a three week "cooling off" period on Sunday. The cooling off period would've allowed students and teachers to return to school, Monday, March 11th, but the request was rejected by the Dixon Education Association.
The teachers and administration continue to have separate views on salary, retirement, and health insurance.
