The City of Rockford has announced three closures affecting city streets this week.
The intersection of South Rockford Avenue and Second Avenue will be closed beginning on Wednesday, March 6 through March 8, weather permitting, for sanitary sewer manhole repair.
Also on Wednesday, the intersection of North Prospect Street and Brownwood Drive will be closed for sanitary sewer manhole repair. Work is expected to be finished on the same day, if weather cooperates.
Research Parkway between Kishwaukee and Assembly Drive will also close on Wednesday for the same reason. Work is also expected to be finished by the end of the day.
Traffic control measures will be in place and motorists are advised to use caution while in the area.
